Rainbow Fire - The Official Band Website

Rainbow Fire is completing it’s first album release “Nuclear Sky”. The work is slated for release later this year. “We are currently mixing and selecting the playlist. “ said Producer/Keyboardist Ernie Lesley. “2011 was a strange year for us. We began working on material for a second album while in the middle of the first release.” In late 2011 the band stopped work to accommodate construction and recording system upgrades to the Chowder House studios which have just been completed.

The band has been in writing and recording sessions at the Rabbit Hole and the Cosmic Seafood and Chowder House studios. The studios are separately owned by Guitarist Brian Hadley and Producer/Keyboardist Ernie Lesley respectively.

Artist Highlight: Willie Dee

Vocalist Willie Dee, former Lead Singer of Captain Beyond, Gary Moore’s G-Force, Zoomlenz and many other bands is the vocal and lyrical powerhouse behind Rainbow Fire. As a singer in Captain Beyond he collaborated with former members of Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly and the Johnny Winter Group.

In September 2008 Friday Music / Warner Bros. Records digital re-mastered and re-released “Dawn Explosion” Captain Beyond’s third record featuring Wille Dee singing Lead vocals. Information about Captain Beyond can be found at Hartmut Kreckel’s Un-Official European Captain Beyond website.

Fans have asked if there is a meaning behind the band’s name “Rainbow Fire”. The name comes from the concept of the Seven Chakras which are energy centers on the spine of the body. Indian Shamans declare that different drumming patterns with meditation activate each Chakra. Each Chakra is represented by a different color of the rainbow. When all seven Chakras are activated, one attains the “Rainbow Fire”, a kind of mind-body-soul plasma which yields a vast cosmic awareness, harmony and understanding.

This was a perfect fit with the band’s musical and lyrical concepts which bring attention to the dangerous state of the world and the precarious situation we all face under so called Globalization by imperialist corporate entities.

“Nuclear Sky” Album

Rainbow Fire strikes a broadcast deal with internet radio station start-up FM 110.org. The station concept is to play a wide cross-section of Rock and Progressive Rock music mixed with spoof commercials and other “found sound” cultural objects. The station programmers want to take a lethal jab at the corporate radio empire while playing great musical material lost to marketing forces.
